MEET DR. MCANDREWS

Dr. Bronwyn McAndrews was born and raised in New York. After attending LIU Post, she moved cross-country to attend the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where she was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society, and was a member of the Southern Academy of Oral Pathology. The East Coast called her back, attending the University of Connecticut for her orthodontic residency. Following her residency, Dr. McAndrews then practiced in Fairfield CT for a few years, before moving back to Long Island. Dr. McAndrews has been practicing here in Levittown since 1994. Over the years, Dr. McAndrews has enjoyed membership in the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, Nassau County Dental Society, and the state dental societies of New York, California and Connecticut. Dr. McAndrews comes to us with over 30 years of experience, and likes to provide conservative and comfortable treatment plans for her patients.
In her spare time, she and her husband have travelled to all seven continents, with the highlight being a honeymoon in Antarctica. They are the proud parents of twins, Tim and Tad.
MEET DR. ABAEYV

Dr. Ronna Abaeyv was born and raised in Queens, New York City, where she excelled academically, graduating at the top of her class from Forest Hills High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the City University of New York, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her passion for education led her to serve as an adjunct professor of biochemistry at Hunter College following her graduation.
Dr. Ronna pursued her dental education at the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and received the Honors Orthodontics Award from the American Association of Orthodontics. She continued her training at NYU, completing her post-doctoral residency in Orthodontics and Dental Orthopedics. Shortly after, she became a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a testament to her dedication and expertise in the field.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ronna has contributed to numerous research projects, including behavioral neurobiology studies at Rockefeller University and research on fluorosis, for which she received the Craniofacial Biology Award from the International Association for Dental Research. She remains committed to staying at the forefront of orthodontic advancements, utilizing the latest techniques and technologies to provide exceptional care.
Dr. Ronna’s greatest joy as an orthodontist comes from helping her patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their treatment journey.
When she’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Ronna loves spending quality time with her family and young children. She’s also an avid runner, currently training for her first 5K race.
MEET DR. TOVILO

Dr. Kruno Tovilo was born and raised in Toronto where he gained inspiration for Orthodontics during the course of his own treatment at the age of 13. This motivation is what led him to graduate Class Valedictorian at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where Dr. Tovilo was presented with the Alpha Omega Fraternity Award for Highest Scholastic Achievement, as well as induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. He also received the Dentsply International Merit Award for Prosthodontic Distinction and the Excellence in Scholarship Award from the American Academy of Dental Materials.
With a passion for creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Tovilo continued his dental career with Post-Graduate Orthodontics Studies at New York University. During residency. Dr. Tovilo was exposed to a wide variety of dental malocclusions ranging from interceptive-based treatment for children to complex multi-disciplinary and orthognathic surgical adult cases.
Upon completion of the program, Dr. Tovilo returned home to Toronto having passed both the American and Canadian Dental Licensing Board examinations and was granted fellowship as an Orthodontic Specialist by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. Tovilo is in private practice in both the Toronto and New York City areas for the past 25 years. He is an International Scholar at New York University and lectures to both incoming residents and Orthodontists worldwide on Orthodontic Interactive Self-Ligation Biomechanics, Craniofacial Growth Remodeling and Neuromuscular Activity. During his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family with interest in activities such as swimming, biking, hiking, skiing, hockey. tennis, soccer and travel. Dr. Tovilo truly enjoys improving your smile and looks forward to meeting you and your family towards this journey.
MEET DR. ZAK

I love orthodontics; it is my passion. As an orthodontist, I have the chance to meet amazing families and give them something that will change their life for the better: an amazing, healthy smile. The personal connections I’ve made over the past 18 years are my greatest reward. – Dr. Zak
Dr. Efraim Zak attended the New York University College of Dentistry for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He spent additional time and training at NYU to complete his orthodontic residency and become a specialist in orthodontics. He brings with him an extensive background in research, including many awards and publications.
Dr. Zak attends yearly seminars and study groups to keep up on all advanced orthodontic techniques. He has also lectured at dental study clubs on Align Technology’s behalf, the producer of Invisalign®. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the OKU dental honor fraternity.
Dr. Zak grew up in New York City and now resides in Long Island. He and his wife, Susan, have two amazing children, Justin and Chelsea, who keep him very busy. When he has the time, Dr. Zak enjoys playing golf, skiing, biking, working out, and going to movies. He is involved with his children’s PTA and supports the Shriners Hospital for Children and research for scleroderma, ALS, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and many others.

DAYNETTE
Daynette worked as a dental assistant from 1989 through 1998. She enjoyed the field so much, she decided to continue her education at SUNY Farmingdale. Daynette graduated from the dental hygiene program in 1998, and has been a part of Dr. David’s team ever since. She enjoys music, fishing, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends. Daynette is also a proud aunt of two nieces and four nephews.

ELIZABETH
Elizabeth has been a dental assistant with us since 2002. She has enjoyed working in the dental field since the age of 14, and really likes working with children. Elizabeth loves spending time with her son Romeo, and she also has a weakness for shopping.

KARINA
Karina has been a part of our staff as a dental assistant since 2003. She enjoys working with children and making their experience happy and memorable. She enjoys traveling to many parts of the world.
